Summer days and a bright yellow bouncing ball are the stuff that fun is made of. Starting June 23, St. Joseph High School varsity boys coach Patrick Ortiz will be the featured coach at a series of four-day tennis camps held at the school.
The six camps are for beginning and intermediate players and cost $35 per week, plus a one-time $5 registration fee and one can of new tennis balls for each session.
"We keep the kids together within their skill level so that they have fun with others who are progressing at the same rate," Ortiz said in a release.
Camp is held from 8:30 to 10 a.m. for beginners and 10 to 11:30 a.m. for intermediate players. Registration will be held June 8 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the St. Joseph tennis courts, or call Ortiz at 934-9911. Scholarships are available. For more information, visit www.arktennis.net.
